About Us
In 1851, Isaac Merrit Singer patented the first household sewing machine, founding Singer & Company. By 1853, renamed as SINGER MANUFACTURING COMPANY, the first machines were sold for $100 each in New York. In 1855, SINGER®️ became a global leader, expanded through Paris, won a prize at the Paris Fair, and became the world’s first multinational.

Our History
Since its creation, SINGER®️ has made sewing accessible to all by introducing innovations like installment payments in 1856. A global leader by the 1860s, the brand contributed to women’s empowerment and the growth of the textile industry. With iconic models and a famous logo, SINGER dominated the market. In 1908, it built the world’s tallest skyscraper in New York. Today, after 170 years of innovation, SINGER®️ remains a global leader in sewing and home appliances.
